The major advantages of metal pillar construction is that they can be drive into the ground with the use of hammers, and the concrete pillars can be driven very deep into the ground. The metal studs are able to resist rusting fairly well, and they can me coated in order to protect them from weathering. The advantages of concrete stud construction

The second way to support an outdoor kitchen is with the use of concrete blocks. These blocks can be formed on site, and it is possible to purchase already cast concrete studs. The concrete studs can be pressed into the ground, placed on top of the ground as footings, and it is also possible to pour them into the ground. The major disadvantages of concrete footings is that they take longer to install, and there is a risk of having them crack. However, their lower costs allows for more blocks to be used.
